Ragdoll Personality

The Ragdoll personality is characteristically warm and friendly. Your Ragdoll will want to be with you all the time. You’ll be met at the door when you arrive home and followed around the house, even to the bathroom. Many Ragdoll owners have compared their Ragdoll’s personality to that of a loyal canine. Ragdolls need their owner’s attention and lots of love. If not on your lap, your Ragdoll will be lying nearby. Very few breeds offer the intimate companionship characteristic of the Ragdoll.

Ragdoll Colors

All Ragdolls have blue eyes and a soft, rabbit-like coat.

Ragdolls have color on their ears, faces, legs, and tails, with a much lighter, contrasting body color. Ragdolls come in four standard colors: seal, chocolate, cream, blue, and frost (sometimes called lilac).

Seal Ragdolls have points that are deep seal brown. Their bodies have fawn to cream color shading. Their nose and paw pad leather is a deep seal brown.

Chocolate Ragdolls have points that are a light milk chocolate color. Their bodies have ivory to cream shading.

Cream Ragdolls have points that are light orange/red. Their bodies are ivory white. Their nose and paw pad leather is pink.

Blue Ragdolls have points that are slate blue to silver, with a generally gray appearance. Their bodies can be ivory to bluish white. Their nose and paw pad leather is a slate blue.

Lilac Ragdolls have points that are lilac to pinkish beige. Their bodies should be milk white, and the nose and paw pad leather is pink to lavender.

Ragdoll Patterns

Ragdolls have three standard patterns: colorpoint, mitted, and bicolor.

Colorpoint Ragdolls have darker color on their ears, face, legs, feet and tail. Their body color is lighter than their point color. The chest and chin are usually lighter in color but are closer to the body color.

Mitted Ragdolls are identical to color point Ragdolls, except that they have white paws, chin, and chest.

Bicolor Ragdolls have darker color on their ears, face, and tail. However, a bicolor’s face is characterized by a white, inverted "V." The stomach, all four legs, the feet, and ruff are white. The bicolor’s nose and paw pad color is pink.
